Who We Are
Founded on the notion that undergraduate students have real power to enact positive change, UConn MHS is a group of primarily pre-health students who give humanitarian aid to populations in need. As our mission statement says, we are dedicated to improving the lives of those struck down by various misfortune, from crippling natural catastrophes to needless violence, primarily through medical means. We were previously affiliated with the renowned Doctors Without Borders.
Many of our members come from Allied Health, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Healthcare Management, Human Rights, MCB, PNB, and Sociology courses of study, to name a few. Some aim to provide clinical care in the future, while some strive to help build platforms for healthcare to reach those who need it most. All of us, however, are humanitarians - compassionate, dedicated, and optimistic that together we can make a difference.
